The Natural Reset™ — what this retreat is really about
This Chinese medicine wellness retreat in Andalucía, Spain is held in the mountains of the Sierra de las Nieves nature reserve — a place where everything naturally begins to slow down.
It’s not about doing more.
It’s about giving your body and mind a chance to settle.
Surrounded by fresh mountain air, open skies and peaceful natural beauty, you’ll have the space to pause, breathe and properly rest.
Through acupuncture, gentle Qi Gong, meditation and simple self-care practices, you’ll be supported to feel more like yourself again — calmer, clearer and more grounded.
Jo shares the wisdom of Chinese medicine in a practical and accessible way, offering tools you can take home and use in everyday life.
You’ll leave feeling rested and restored — without pressure, and without overwhelm.
Nestled in the mountains of Andalucía, Molino del Rey is an award-winning luxury retreat centre just 50 minutes from Málaga Airport, offering a peaceful and supportive setting for your stay.

This retreat is for you if..
- You feel depleted or a bit off — even if life looks “fine” on the surface
- Your nervous system has been switched on for too long, and you’re craving real rest
- You know you need a reset before moving into what’s next
- You’re drawn to a more natural, grounded way of supporting your wellbeing
- You long for fresh air, open space and time to think clearly again
- You want steadiness and clarity — not a dramatic overhaul
You don’t need experience with Qi Gong, meditation or Chinese medicine.
You don’t need to arrive knowing what’s next.
Just a willingness to slow down, be supported, and step away from the pace of everyday life.
If this resonates, this might be exactly what you need right now.
What makes this retreat different?
There are many beautiful retreats in the world.
What makes The Natural Reset™ in the mountains of Andalucía different is how gently it works.
Guided by Chinese medicine and Yang Sheng — the practice of nourishing life — this retreat supports you in working with rhythm, rest and the natural intelligence of your body, rather than pushing for change.
There’s no pressure to open up.
No expectation to transform.
No fixing, forcing or performing.
Just expert guidance, warmth, and the quiet space of the Andalusian mountains — allowing your nervous system to settle and your energy to reset in its own time.
It was a blissful, grounding and healing experience — I didn’t even realise how much I needed it.

A typical day
Each day follows a gentle, spacious rhythm — offering enough structure to feel held, and enough freedom to truly rest. You’re guided throughout, but never rushed.
Morning
We begin with Qi Gong practiced outdoors, surrounded by trees and birdsong — a gentle way to wake the body, settle the nervous system, and orient yourself to the day.
Breakfast follows, unhurried and nourishing.
Later in the morning, we gather for a self-care session. Depending on the day, this may include:
- acupuncture
- or guided seasonal self-care practices you can take home
These sessions are designed to help you reconnect with your body and energy, without effort or strain.
Afternoon
We gather for freshly baked cake and tea followed by plenty of rest.
This is space to rest by the pool, read, nap, wander, or simply do nothing at all. There’s no expectation to fill the time — rest is part of the practice. You might choose to:
- journal
- lie in the shade
- take a gentle walk in nature
- or enjoy more quiet time to yourself
You’re encouraged to follow what your body is asking for, rather than a schedule.
Evening
As the day softens, we come together for meridian stretching (similar to yin yoga), a quiet evening self-care practice or meditation — a chance to settle, reflect, and gently integrate the day.
Dinner follows, relaxed and communal.
The evening closes with plenty of space to unwind and prepare for rest.
Nothing is compulsory.
Rest is always a valid choice.

Retreat Review From Morocco
Women often ask what my retreats are like. Here’s what Ruth shared after attending one in Morocco
What women say after retreating with Jo
I cannot speak highly enough of Jo and her retreats. I got on the plane to Morocco feeling sluggish, low, and fed up. I came home feeling like a new person. I've been doing my QiGong joint opening every morning, I've not drunk any caffeine, and have massively improved my diet thanks to how amazing my tummy felt when it was eating so many antiinflammatory foods and no sugar or starchy carbs the whole time I was at Tigmi. It was quite life changing for me, and I am already on the list to go back next year, whilst also saving for one of Jo's Spain retreats! ❤️

Having been lucky enough to attend two of Jo’s incredible Chinese New Year Retreats I am now signed up for one of her one day retreats in the Autumn. I find it so beautiful and beneficial to start each season with one of her tailored retreats. I come home feeling so restored and ready to tackle any challenges. Next year I would love to try and do one per season 🫶🤞🏻🙏

Questions that often come up
Participation & pace
Do I need experience with Qi Gong, meditation, or yoga?
No. Everything is guided, gentle, and suitable for all levels. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced — you’re encouraged to listen to your body and move at your own pace.
Do I have to take part in everything?
No. All practices are optional. You’re welcome to rest, sit something out, or take time alone whenever you need.
What does a typical day look like?
Each day gently balances movement, rest and learning. You can expect:
- Morning Qi Gong or gentle movement
- A nourishing breakfast
- Chinese medicine teaching or group sessions

- Evening meditation or Yoga Nidra
There is always space to opt out or rest if you need to.
I’ve never had acupuncture — is that OK?
Yes. Acupuncture is optional and always discussed beforehand.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Many women attend on their own. The group is small and welcoming, with space for connection without pressure to share or socialise more than feels comfortable.
